Quality Over Quantity

We definitely believe in quality over quantity of homes.

The reason we have such a thorough vetting process prior to adoption is so that bunnies don’t wind up being put in the same or similar situations that we pulled them from.

Any bunny is welcome to stay with us until the perfect home is found - no matter how long it takes.

Recently we had a potential foster explain to us how she thought our process was unreasonable and she just wanted to quickly pass bunnies out into homes so she could save more. This is not saving bunnies. We’re not doing our jobs if we’re not providing them the best lives possible.

Recently we also had a potential adopter tell us that she could just pick up a bunny for her daughters birthday at a local farm store and “not have to deal with all this extra hullabaloo.”

Then we also had an owner surrender tell us that we could just give his bunny to whoever offered to pay the most. That’s not how any of this works.

This is our 3rd year of being an official rescue and we’ve rescued over 1,000 bunnies so far. If we just placed them into random homes, they’d likely come back into our program or worse.

And if we begin to see bunnies as just a number instead of individuals, then we’d definitely be doing something wrong.

Our return rate is 15% less than the national average. That’s due to our bunny matching programs, personalized approach, vetting processes, and check in processes.

So quality over quantity. Something we will firmly stick to.
